Your honour,

At this stage of Mr Miller's stay in India he was running into serious difficulties. His business proposal had gone nowhere. He had invested money into it - networking, hiring staff, paying for several more weeks at the luxury hotel and bribing minor government officials and other people he perceived as important. All this to no avail.

This put a severe strain on his finances and also on his family situation back in the UK.

The emails attached clearly illustrate this situation. While mere words (and in this case, bytes of information) cannot express Miller's despair at his situation, we can imagine it, no? To be in a foreign country with no money, no friends, no plans and nowhere to go back to...

Yours despairingly,

Vikram Chowdury
